Safeguarding and Football Academies

Brook Sports Consulting are delighted to be working with FIFA and some of their Member Association in Africa supporting the implementation of safeguarding for children and young people in Football Academies.

Associate consultants, Kingsley Udo and Lizerd Ngozi, recently visited Banqui, Central Africa Republic to work with the Federation Centrafricaine Football reviewing safeguarding measures at the Federation, the L’académie des Garçons, and the proposed “Faustin Archange Touadera” Women’s Technical Center in the Commune of Liton. They wer accompanied on their visit by Mr Sanda Rasoamahenina, Development Manager, FIFA Member Associations Division.

A full report with recommendations was prepared by Norman Brook, Lead Consultant, based on desk research and following the mission into the Central Africa Republic. This was presented to Mr Célestin Yanindji, President, Federation Centrafricaine De Football. The report consisted of an assessment of current safeguarding measures and included recommendations on measures to make the the proposed “Faustin Archange Touadera” Women’s Technical Center a safe and inclusive environment for children and young women.

Our thanks to our colleagues at FIFA and the Federation Centrafricaine De Football for their support during this project.
